Everyone is trying to find a
way to generate website traffic to their sites. And you should be no
different! Some people use these techniques on a regular basis to generate
a regular traffic flow, while others use these techniques to remind their
customers of their location and contact. Either way, these 5 tips can
generate low cost website traffic with your email are as follows:
Email Signatures.
This is the easiest method if you set up your email client to allow it to post to each and every method. For multiple signatures, you can easily choose which one to insert at the bottom of your email.
eMail V-Card Signatures.
This method will allow you to attach a Vcard detailed with information about you such as name, last name, email address, company name, snail mail address, and even your birthday. The downside of this, is that sending an Vcard means it is sent as an attachment. And these days most attachments can be filtered out or the emails sent to the trash bin immediately. So use this under caution advisement!
Subject Lines Used to Promote.
Place your web address in the subject line. Users will see this and may open the website directly to see what you have to offer. Although this can be construed as an advertisement email, it can be done without alarming others if you use a condensed version such as a non-working web address such as "DataWorkZ.com" for example.
Make a Newsletter.
Send emails with an update or a newsletter for your work or business. While it is not wise to send unsolicited email since you can become banned or much worse get fined, you can send follow-up emails and emails to opt-in lists of customers or potential customers.
Send eMail to Online Communities, Forums, and eGroups.
When sending your email to online communities, forums, and eGroups, make sure you are following specific individual guidelines for emailing them. It is best to include perhaps a shorter signature or a signature that is allowed according to the sites rules. This is a quick and easy way to subtlety increase your audience and yet not act as an advertisement to your work or business. Including a signature is often allowed by list owners and is a commonly used practice.
Using your email to promote your
products or website can be a very inexpensive way to get noticed! Of course if
you buy lists of names to send email to, this can be quite costly in the end,
but if you use your emails with these 4-5 tips, you are assured an increase in
traffic flow to the information you have provided, such as a link(s) and email
address(es). Try it on your next email and see what the response is. Over time,
your clients will come to recognize that signature and will notice any additions
or deletions to it. Great advertising for little cost!
